Effective Date: September 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy governs your use of the Vidnux software application ("Application") created by Mohd Afshan. The Application is provided as a free, utility-based media tool. We are highly committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency regarding how the Application operates.
The Application operates on a strict Zero Data Collection principle. We do not collect, transmit, store, or share any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as your name, email, phone number, location, or contact lists to any external servers. All operations are executed locally on your device.
The Application allows users to download and organize media from multiple external social platforms via URL sharing. The Application utilizes the open-source library yt-dlp along with secure, temporary cloud-based routing to process media links. This cloud routing is strictly used for URL parsing in real-time; it does not store, log, or associate the URLs with any personal data, and the parsed data is immediately discarded. We do not track your search history, downloaded content, or platform preferences. Please Note: Downloading videos from YouTube is strictly prohibited and is not supported by this Application in compliance with Google Play and YouTube Terms of Service. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to download and use the media from these third-party platforms.
To provide core functionalities like background downloading and HD media playback, the Application requests specific system permissions:
Vidnux offers a "Locked Vault" feature to secure your private media. This security is maintained 100% locally on your device's storage. We do not have access to your vault password, nor do we backup your hidden files to the cloud. In the event of device formatting or uninstallation without export, your hidden data may be permanently lost.
Because we do not collect or process any user data, our Application is inherently compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). The Application is safe for users of all ages.
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be updated on this page with a revised "Effective Date". We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
